Electrical outfitting of aircraft
OBJECTIVES
- Know the usual means to attach electrical harnesses
- Be able to read a wiring diagram
- Be able to remove and reinstall electrical harnesses, electrical master boxes, etc.
- Ensure traceability of the items which can be removed
SYLLABUS
- Reminder on:
- means of attachment of electrical harnesses (cable ties, quick-attach clamps, plastic ties, cable bundle supports)
- protection ducts for harnesses (flexible duct, rilsan sheath, Teflon duct, heat-shrinkable tubing)
- Viewing of these means of attachment on aircraft
- Training in cable binding
- Use of plastic cable tie pliers
- Reminder on torque tightening
- Reminder on the use of continuity and isolation measuring instruments
- Electrical bonding measurement
- Study of a task to be performed:
- Finding the harness (or the master box) on a wiring diagram
- Selection of the necessary tools
- Work on de-energised and disconnected equipment, lockout / tagout
- Removal / reinstallation of the harness (or the master box)
- Check
- Test
- Traceability
