ANALOGUE ELECTRONICS (LEVEL 2)
OBJECTIVES
- Select the Butterworth, Bessel, Tchebyscheff or Cauer filter to solve a filtering problem in the best possible way
- Use transfer function tables to synthesise an N-order filter (based on 1st‑order and 2nd‑order cells)
- Identify oscillators in a diagram and calculate their frequencies

– Resonance principle, oscillation condition
– Hartley and Colpitts oscillators
• Numerical generators:
– Principle of operation
– Architecture of arbitrary waveform generators
